Kedarkantha Peak Trek is one of the most sought after winter treks in India. The trek to the summit is a classic winter trek for first time trekkers. It is a relatively easy-to-moderate trek that takes you through a mesmerizing forest of pine, oak and rhododendrons past a twin lake finally to the upper reaches of the snow covered mountain in Singtur Range. The setting at Kedarkantha base camp is magical and captivating with many tents pitched on vast fields of white snow, and grandeur of the beautiful Kedarkantha peak itself, sunsets, moon rise and star-studded night sky.
Add to this the other star attraction of the hike, experiencing basic skiing with the Goclimbup team will surely give you goose bumps and memorable thrills. If you’re looking for a first-time skiing experience, search no more! The slope at Kedarkantha Base is a perfect one to learn and experience skiing. But please note that this trip is designed to provide you a skiing experience and not a skiing course for which you can always enquire with the Goclimbup team leaders.
You will also have the opportunity to get a close encounter with the locals of some of very remote & ancient villages. This trek offers you the experience of a snowfall, camping in snow and some beautiful views of snow-capped Himalayan ranges, magnificent views of charming villages, meadows, snow paths and dramatic landscapes dotted with lovely lakes. That is the reason why this trek is often referred as a fun winter trek giving greenhorn trekkers an amazing introduction Himalayan chill and snowfall.
